The proposition
One practice · several forms of capital
Why these projects belong together
The proposition: one body of research, multiple expressions
One body of research. Multiple expressions.
A single interdisciplinary practice — asking what happens when human bodies meet human
systems — produces film, publishing, software, hospitality systems, objects and
public-interest work as outputs of the same investigation, not as separate ventures.
The connective tissue
The same research produces each output. Eleven years inside hospitality
systems became operating documentation and menu architecture. The same enquiry into
institutions became a documentary and two published reports. The same interest in how
people settle and pay attention became practice, objects and software. One method,
applied in whichever form the question needs.
Why this founder
The work requires someone who has operated inside the systems being
examined, can author the creative work, and can build the technology. That is not a
team of three specialists with a shared deck — the translation between the three
is the product, and it only happens in one head.
Why several kinds of capital
Some outputs should create enterprise value: the consulting practice,
the publishing catalogue, the film and publishing rights, and the practice once it is
packaged to be taught. Some should stay outside commercial
models: the public-education research, the free tools. Those are funded separately,
on purpose, and an investor is asked to fund only the first.
What this round funds. A consulting practice with paying clients is the cash
floor — high margin, low multiple, founder-dependent, and deliberately not the ceiling.
The owned intellectual property is the upside: film, imprint, catalogue and software, each
able to be valued independently of the founder’s hours. This round buys the second,
funded by the first.
The moment & the market
Built bottom-up, not by adding industries together
Why now
The studio model came for software.
It has not yet come for culture.
Studios industrialised company-building in software: one team, one repeatable process,
many ventures. The approach has been applied almost entirely to code. Cultural work —
film, publishing, practice, objects, environments, tools — is still built one artist
at a time, with no shared infrastructure and no balance sheet behind it.
The reason is supply. The model needs someone who can make the work and run
the P&L. That combination is not produced by art school or by business school,
and it cannot be assembled from two people who each do half.
This is that combination already operating. Fourteen restaurants opened.
Eleven live web properties designed and coded in-house. Seventeen published titles.
A painting series. A documentary in production. All built without outside capital.
Bottom-up, from the first customer outward
First customer
Founder-led hospitality and independent brands
Operators who need brand, financial modelling and a working site,
and cannot assemble that from separate vendors. Two of the four commissioned sites
to date came from exactly this customer; the other two were adjacent founder-led
brands bought on the same capability.
First offer
One fixed-scope engagement
Identity plus pro forma plus a built site, delivered together.
Average engagement value to confirm.
Reachable now
Bounded by her calendar, not by demand
At current capacity this arm is limited to the engagements one person
can deliver in a year — to confirm. That ceiling, not
market size, is the constraint this round is raised to lift.
Expansion 01
Operations documentation, productised
Opening playbooks and training systems packaged to sell without her.
One has already been published as a trade workbook.
Expansion 02
Publishing and digital products
Seventeen titles and a growing digital catalogue. Low marginal cost,
no delivery hours.
Expansion 03
Licensing and rights
The practice trained and delivered by others; documentary and
publishing rights. Long-dated, and the source of any outsized outcome.

Licensing

These four figures are context, not a market claim.
They are not summed, and their total is not presented as an addressable market —
adding whole industries together because a company touches each of them produces a number
that means nothing. The addressable position is the funnel above: a first customer,
a first offer, and a capacity ceiling this round exists to lift.
Each figure names its publisher and its year; where a claim could not be sourced to a named
publication, it is not on this page.

Paradise Over Power · P.O.P. Culture
Public-interest project
The nonprofit public-education arm. It is not inside the holding company, its assets
are not part of what an investor acquires, and it is not funded by this round.
It raises grant and donation capital on its own merits. Its research, publications and
programming are intended to remain freely accessible, which is precisely why they sit
outside a commercial structure. Any value moving from the commercial arms to P.O.P. is a
documented charitable contribution made from profit, after tax.
What a reader should be able to establish, and what is not yet established.
The commercial arms operate today under the founder’s registered trade name. The formal
holding structure — the receiving entity, the instrument, which intellectual property is
assigned into it, and which works remain founder-owned — is
proposed, not completed, and is to be finalised with counsel as a first use of
this round. This brief does not present that architecture as done. An IP inventory and the
draft structure are available to a party in diligence.
Arm 01 / the engine
The arm with revenue today
Doing Business As · founded 2023
A creative operations studio that pays for the rest.
An independent, female-owned design strategy practice — positioned as
“turning business dreamscapes into profitable realities,” with
“creativity is medicine” as its stated value.
It sells the same capability the studio uses on itself — brand, money, technology,
operations — to founders and operators who need all four at once.
This is the arm with revenue today, and it is modelled honestly rather than dressed up
as a platform. Its job is to hold the floor while the owned assets are built.
01
Brand & Identity
Positioning, visual identity, copy, naming, SEO. Built as complete systems, not logo files.
02
Financial Planning
Pro forma modelling, unit economics, pricing architecture. The rare half of a creative practice.
03
Custom Technology
Websites, tools and internal systems, designed and coded in-house. No agency markup, no template stack.
04
Experience & Hospitality
Concept development, experiential design, F&B strategy, special programs.
05
Menu Engineering
Margin-led menu and beverage strategy. Already packaged once as a published workbook.
06
Operations Documentation
Opening playbooks, SOPs, training systems. Productisable — the clearest path off founder time.
Arm 02 / the practice
Direct to person · no platform cut
Prima Materia

& objects.
The arm that meets a person directly — and the proving ground where the
studio’s ideas are tested on real people before they become products.
Cosmosomatic readings, healing-arts sessions, and a small line of hand-made objects.
Priced accessibly and sold directly, with payment taken in person or by card —
no marketplace, no platform cut.
The claims language is deliberately narrow and stays narrow. This work is
non-clinical. It is designed to explore embodied and sensory
experience; it does not diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any medical or psychiatric
condition, and nothing published about it says otherwise. No physiological,
neurological or clinical effect is claimed anywhere in this company’s material.
That discipline is a commercial asset, not a limitation: it is what lets this arm
grow, and lets the work sit alongside research and institutional partners, without
inheriting regulatory exposure.

Arm 03 / the work
Where the long-dated value sits
Eden King
art, film
& publishing.
The arm that produces appreciating assets rather than billable hours.
This is where the long-dated value sits.
A feature documentary in production. A painting series spanning three years.
Seventeen published titles under an imprint she designed, typeset and runs.
Six moving-image works published and distributed.
None of it is speculative. It exists, it is public, and every item appears in the
inventory earlier in this brief with a verifiable location. What the work lacks is not
creation — it lacks production budget, distribution, and a rights strategy.
The film is an independent work, not marketing for the company.
It keeps its own authorship and its own editorial judgement, and is being developed for
documentary funding, festivals and distribution on its own terms. The artistic practice
is where the long-form research happens — field work, narrative development,
visual language, participatory practice — and it is the source the commercial arms
draw from, not a byproduct of them.

Every site in this portfolio was designed, branded and coded by the founder.
Client work and her own platforms are the same discipline, built by the same person to the
same specification. On the client side that removes agency markup and the template stack.
On her own side it supports a standing practice in public-interest technology:
free, open, non-commercial tools for reflection and self-observation, built as humane
interfaces rather than attention products.
The tools are non-clinical and research-led. They are designed to explore embodied
interaction and sensory environments — not to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure anything,
and nothing published about them says otherwise.

Seeking partners
This is not minimalism for its own sake. It is what makes the work auditable, archivable,
cheap to host in perpetuity, and eligible for public-interest and civic technology funding
that a tracker-laden stack is not. Accessibility, archivability and the absence of tracking are design commitments, not
side effects. Further tools are in development and are not listed until they ship. Every address above is written out at the back of this brief.

A community-care movement disguised as an art project. Posters in the wild

P.O.P. Culture publishes research and public-education material on the business models
underneath institutions — care, diagnosis, insurance, custody, schooling.
It sits outside the holding company and outside this raise.
It appears here because it is materially part of the founder’s output and
reputation, and because an investor should be able to see exactly where the wall is.

P.O.P. Culture
Only the last row crosses the wall, and it crosses in one direction, after profit,
as a board-approved charitable contribution — the same way any company gives.
P.O.P. Culture raises its own grant and donation capital against its own work.
No investor dollar funds a charitable grant.
- The consulting practice is the cash floor. It is founder-dependent today; productising operations documentation is the first move off that dependency.
- The IP is the return. Film, imprint, published catalogue, software — each licensable, each able to be valued independently of the founder’s hours.
- The practice arm is the audience engine. It is also where new products are tested on real people at low cost before any of them are built.
- Cultural footprint is a real commercial input, not a vanity line: it is what wins premium consulting work and what makes the published work saleable.
- An investor can underwrite the three for-profit arms on their own merits without taking a position on the nonprofit’s programme.

Positioning
The advantage is combination, not absence of competition
Where the defensibility actually is
There are competitors in every one of these fields.
Better-resourced firms do brand strategy. Better-funded studios build software.
Established houses publish. Experienced producers make documentaries. Any claim to have
no competition would be false, and a diligence conversation would establish that in
about ninety seconds.
The advantage is that these capabilities are almost never held by one person, and the
translation between them is where the value is created.
01 · Domain
Operator experience, not researched
Eleven years inside hospitality operations and fourteen restaurants opened.
A consultant who has run the service cannot be replaced by one who has studied it,
and clients can tell the difference inside one meeting.
02 · Authorship
A real body of work, made not commissioned
A painting series, seventeen published titles, six moving-image works,
a documentary in production. This is authored output with its own audience and its own
rights — not portfolio pieces made for clients.
03 · Full stack
Concept through to shipped code
Brand, copy, financial model, design and production build, delivered by one
person. It removes the handoffs where most agency work loses its intent, and it removes
the margin that four vendors each take.
04 · Method
One investigation, many outputs
The same research becomes a film, a report, an operating manual and a
tool. A competitor can copy any single output. Reproducing the practice that generates
them across forms is a different problem.
05 · Position
Credible on both sides of a line most firms pick
Legible to a restaurant group and to an arts funder. That dual standing is
what lets the same work draw on commercial capital and institutional support without
either party discounting it.
06 · Assets
Owned IP already on the balance sheet
An imprint, a published catalogue, a film in production, a portfolio of
working software, and a set of documented operating systems — all built before this
round, all owned outright, none licensed in.
The honest limit of this. None of the six is individually defensible in the way
a patent or a network effect is. The combination is unusual and takes years to assemble, but it
is not a legal barrier, and it currently depends on one person — which is the first risk
named in the risk section. An investor should underwrite this as an exceptional operator with real
owned assets, not as a structurally protected market position.
25-year horizon
Stated intent · not a financial projection
Long-arc plan
Built to compound across decades, not quarters.
YR 1–3 / SEED
root the umbrella
- Formalise the holding company and its three arms
- Productise operations documentation — first revenue off founder time
- Package the practice as a trainable curriculum
- Close three to five anchor consulting clients
- Complete principal photography on the documentary
- Reach self-sustaining annual revenue
YR 4–8 / SPROUT
prove the system
- First physical location — studio, gallery and practice space
- Ten or more recurring consulting relationships
- A trained network delivering the practice
- Documentary completed and distributed
- Imprint publishing beyond the founder’s own titles
- First full-time creative and operations hires
YR 9–15 / CANOPY
scale the umbrella
- Multiple locations across regions
- Owned IP portfolio — film slate, book imprint, product line
- An accredited training pathway
- Annual cultural programme and gatherings
- Licensing as a material share of revenue
YR 16–25 / ROOT
become the institution
- A multi-generational creative institution
- Owned land — permanent studio and residency campus
- Endowed foundation arm, funded from realised gains
- Founder moves to a chair role; second-generation leadership
- The work outlives the founder — by design
This describes intent and sequencing. It is not a financial projection, and no line on it
should be read as one.
Risk
Named by the founder, not found in diligence
What would make this fail
The honest version, before you ask.
Risk 01
Key-person concentration
Every arm currently routes through one person. If she stops, everything stops.
This is the single largest risk in the company, and it is not overstated by saying so.
MitigationProductising operations documentation and packaging the practice as a trainable curriculum are the two moves that separate revenue from her hours. Both are funded by this round, in year one, on purpose.
Risk 02
Breadth reads as unfocused
Four arms and eight revenue lines look like a lack of discipline to an investor
trained on single-product companies. Some will not get past it.
MitigationThe arms share one delivery capability, not four. Focus here means sequencing, not amputation: consulting funds, practice proves, IP appreciates. An investor who needs a single SKU is not the right investor.
Risk 03
Services revenue is a low-multiple floor
The cash arm is a consulting practice. Consulting does not compound and does not
exit well. If the IP never matures, an investor owns a boutique studio.
MitigationStated plainly rather than dressed up. The return case rests on publishing, curriculum and film rights. Those are the milestones tracked and reported.
Risk 04
Financial history is thin
The company has been run lean and self-funded, without institutional bookkeeping,
audited statements or a formal cap table.
MitigationEntity formation, clean books and IP registration are a line item in the use of funds. Diligence-grade records are a deliverable of this round, not a precondition of it.
Risk 05
Film is long-dated and uncertain
A feature documentary is capital-intensive, slow, and may never find distribution.
It is the asset most likely to disappoint on timing.
MitigationThe film is underwritten as culture and IP, not as a return line. The model does not depend on it. Any distribution outcome is upside.
Risk 06
Regulatory adjacency
Somatic and wellness work sits next to health claims. Overreach there is how
companies in this category get into trouble.
MitigationAlready governed. The practice language is fixed at “creates conditions” and never diagnoses, treats or cures. Health-adjacent statistics are kept out of company material entirely.
The ask
Figures furnished on request, not printed here
Currently raising · the commercial arms only
The founder is committing the first capital. This round opens the door to aligned
partners — investors, patrons and strategic operators — who want to be inside
the umbrella before the canopy fills out.
Every dollar is deployed inside the for-profit holding company.
None of it funds the nonprofit.
What is not on this page
The amount sought, the allocation across the categories opposite, and the instrument
are furnished on request rather than published. No instrument has been selected:
a convertible note, a SAFE and a priced round are all open, with mission-aligned terms
preferred over headline valuation. The receiving entity and the IP assignment schedule
are to be finalised with counsel as a first use of the round, and are proposed rather
than completed. Seeking three to five strategic partners.

Two pathways
Different work, different capital, evaluated separately
Where to start the right conversation
Some of this should create enterprise value.
Some of it should simply exist.
Portions of this ecosystem are developed through arts funding, research partnerships,
public-interest technology support, documentary funding, residencies, institutional
collaboration and philanthropic support. Those activities are evaluated separately from
the commercial investment opportunity, and neither is a route into the other.
